Our collective liberation depends on gathering in community, cultivating courage, compassion, and connection through slow and intentional relational work

  • Courage

Courage provides a foundation for collective liberation by inspiring and empowering us to speak out and stand up against oppression, violence, and injustice in our every day lives.

Courage is necessary to challenge oppressive power structures, speak our truth, and take meaningful action to challenge unjust systems.

We draw on courage when we provide support to those most affected by dominant culture in our communities. With the strength and courage of a collective, we can build community-based solutions that address the needs of those among us who are the most vulnerable to systemic inequities.

Sometimes, the bravest thing we can do for the collective is to focus on our own individual healing. Whether it is physical or emotional, long held pain can impact our ability to show up for ourselves and others in the community. It often requires the most courage for individuals to process the trauma of their own singular experiences within the context of shared communal realities. Through this portal of grief and pain, we can gain a deeper understanding and empathy for shared experiences of humanity and oppression alike. This only serves to connect our struggle with other historically marginalized communities and their indignantly joyous contributions toward this difficult work across history.

  • Compassion

Collective liberation from oppression relies on reorienting toward deep compassion for one another. It asks us to recognize, understand and empathize with the experiences of those among us, those who came before, and those who will come after in this ongoing struggle for freedom.

When we act through love and kindness, creating a foundation of support and solidarity, what becomes possible can lead to meaningful and positive personal and social change. Compassion allows us to recognize how systemic oppression has created suffering and hardship, and to honor the complexities and experiences of those impacted.

If we are to build a better way to relate to ourselves—and all life on this earth—we need to foster and engage in conversations that are empathetic, understanding, and respectful. Compassion is a powerful tool, and should be a cornerstone of collective liberation. When this value is centered, we can create and nurture relationships and ideas that are based on mutual respect and understanding, which is essential in taking tangible action against oppression and injustice.

  • Connection

Community connection is our antidote to oppressive systems of division. It works to bridge the disparities that these structures create within our communities. By engaging with each other across different identities and perspectives—and working together to create understanding and collaboration—we can break down the social, economic, and political power inequality that oppressive structures rely on.

Through connection, we can challenge divisive narratives and instead invest in a collective vision that works to foster solidarity and equity across different communities. By fighting oppressive systems together, instead of perpetuating their divide and conquer principles, we can stand in solidarity and overcome oppression together.

As living beings: we are all worthy of restorative rest and respect.

Receiving reiki can help one access restorative rest, cultivate self-compassion, and promote deeper overall relaxation when resting. As the practitioner provides a healing touch, or channels energy without touch, Reiki helps balance the recipient’s energy within their body and mind. During an energetic healing session, the practitioner will focus their energy on areas of the body that may be holding tension or stress, allowing the body to release tension and enter a peaceful state of relaxation and ease. This sense of relaxation helps to relieve chronic pain, reconnects us with our inherent worth, rekindling awareness within the body-mind. We all have access to this universal energy, and engaging this through healing practices and frequent rest can help establish a stronger connection to the source of all energy. Reiki helps to create an open pathway for improved physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, creating an atmosphere of self-love, acceptance and respect that surrounds all those who receive it.

The physical body is a tangible expression of our internal experience.

Through engaging in activities such as yoga, walking, and breath work, one can practice cultivating a mind-body connection and conscious presence in each moment. The experience of total and compassionate presence is the key to taking spiritual wellbeing to the next level.

Mindfulness and focusing on the present moment can serve to further enhance the experience of peace and connection with both the self and others. Regularly receiving Reiki can balance the energy centers within, enabling the power of intention to alchemize desired outcomes and healing conceived within. With mindfulness practices, people from all walks of life can work to cultivate spiritual wellbeing and enjoy journeys into their own psyche.

Usui / World Peace Reiki Holy Fire® III Reiki Ryoho

I am a Reiki Master and intuitive reader with 10 years of experience in tarot. I offer reiki sessions, tarot readings, and a blended session that begins with a tarot reading and progresses into a reiki healing. I offer primarily distance sessions via phone or video chat, as reiki energy can be transmitted across time and space. I do have a travel table available and am open to meeting for in-person sessions in quiet and private spaces, if this is something you would like to do please book a free consultation to discuss your desired location and experience.

Healing can be a lifelong journey, and a positive mindset about what can be achieved makes a major difference in potential outcomes! Whether you are healing something physical or something emotional, the experience can be held within your body’s energetic memory until it can be safely interpreted, processed, and released. Receiving reiki offers a great way to support the body, mind, and spirit in the process of healing from trauma.

Belief in a higher power is not required to benefit from energy work and I will never judge or shame another person for their personal beliefs, religion, spirituality, atheism, or agnosticism.

I welcome any questions or concerns via email, feel free to reach out to hello@justreiki.life if there is anything you’d like to discuss further before booking your first session!

We all deserve a peaceful existence.

To achieve a peaceful existence, one must be respectful of all others, regardless of identity, ability, race, creed, size, class, or systems of belief. This means that no one should be discriminated against or ridiculed, and each individual should be allowed to follow whatever values or morals they choose—so long as it does not cause harm to another. We should seek to understand each other's beliefs and be tolerant of differences, rather than trying to impose our own beliefs on others. In turn, we can all work to create a more harmonious, peaceful and just world through understanding and cooperation.
